Hiking
on Montserrat
Within Montserrat’s sobering history of volcanic
eruptions, the beauty of the island shines
through its people and landscape. Some of the
lingering memories you can make is during a
hike on the many trails on the island. Prepare
yourself for moderate to difficult terrain, some
of which involves a foray into the Center Hills
Rainforest, home of the island’s national bird, the
Oriole. In addition to the advantages of being
outdoors while enjoying the sight and sounds
of the verdant rainforest, there is an opportunity
to discover interesting flora, fauna, island facts
