Port Antonio
Port Antonio was perhaps Jamaica’s first tourist destination with celebrities such as Errol Flynn being
a regular visitor in the 1940s. It is the capital of the parish of Portland, resplendent with quaint
Georgian architecture, pretty beaches and lush greenery. Port Antonio is usually not subjected to
throngs of tourists as some of the other areas in Jamaica, so visitors can sight-see, hike, fish and
participate in other activities at their leisure. One of the popular attractions in Port Antonio is Blue
Lagoon.
