About his first book
After thinking of writing
a book for two years, the
idea for my first book,The
Mordenham Acres, came from
above! It literally came to
my mind one afternoon and
I immediately felt the need
to put it on paper. Within
a month the frist draft was
done - that was in 2014. It was
abandoned for about nine
months or so until I proofread
and sought a publisher. That
book was officially released in
December 2016.
About The “Mordenham
Acres” The Mordenham
Acres follows the lives of Hank
and Hal, two young rats that
live with their mother in an
old abandoned cabin on the
edge of a vast forest. Full of
spirit, they long to ignore
their mother's warnings and
venture away from their
home and into the dark forest
beyond the swamp. One day
they go beyond the swamp,
only to be caught by their
angry mother and punished.
Some twenty years pass and
the two brothers, still yearning
for adventure, decide to
venture into the forest to find
the crock of gold at the foot
of the rainbow. On their
journey, they meet lots
of scary and dangerous
characters, as well as some
new friends.
About your second book,
“Sarma” - a synopsis
Joaquin, who suffers from
Alzheimer's disease, has
recently been placed in a
nursing home, only receiving
visits from his daughter
and twin granddaughters.
On one particular visit, he
recalls a dream he had at
age sixteen. In this dream, he
experiences an alien invasion,
later metamorphoses into
a reptilian-like creature and
experiences an apocalyptic
event.
About Alzheimer's disease
and its effects being a
focus of the book The
main character began as
an older person living in a
nursing home. Alzheimer’s
came into the story because
it is a disease known to affect
seniors and it seemed to
be an apt addition to the
scenario I was creating. After
the book was published and
the comments and reactions
came pouring in, I became
aware of the appreciation
readers felt for the spotlight
I had inadvertently placed
on Alzheimer’s disease. For
that I am glad because it is a
sad disease but I do feel that
their full minds are in there
somewhere.
