November 25th to 27th, 2019
The 3rd annual Cayman Islands Classic Basketball
Tournament takes place from 25th to 27th
November 2019. The event is a NCAA Men’s
Basketball Pre-season Tournament that is hosted by
Caymax Sports Ltd., and sponsored by the Mountain
West Conference.
The tournament features eight top Division 1 men’s
college basketball teams from the United States
playing 12 games over the three-day period, and will
welcome Loyola-Chicago, Nebraska, New Mexico
State, Old Dominion, University of South Florida,
Colorado State, George Mason and Washington State
in 2019. Past participants include Clemson, Iowa
State, Cincinnati, University of Richmond, Georgia
State, St. Bonaventure and Creighton.
Over 1.1 million people viewed the 2018 tournament
via Facebook Live and were able to see not only
exciting basketball action but learn about and see
images of the beautiful Cayman Islands. Although
in its infancy, the Cayman Islands Classic has quickly
gained a reputation for being a premiere, well-
organised, quality tournament, and the organisers
regularly field requests from universities who want to
be invited to participate in the event.

played in the tournament in recent years and all have
