July 25 to August 6th
This island-wide festival takes place every year on Nevis.
Considered to be the Caribbean’s greatest summer
lime, Culturama celebrates the emancipation of slavery.
Calypso, pageants, street fair, colourful parades, food,
music and drink are all part of this event which brings
Nevisians in the diaspora back home to celebrate with
friends and family. From mid-June when the Culturama
is launched until August 6th when the street parade
and last lap jump-up brings the festival to a close, the
island pulsates with a variety of stimulating events.
