Harbour Island In the 1700s, English loyalists settled here and this island was the site of the first Bahamian parliament. It has long been a hide-a-way for the rich and famous but more recently has become popular with a larger group of tourists that can now share in the delights of relaxing on Harbour Island’s famous pink beaches and driving a golf cart past the pastel coloured cottages of the island’s only settlement, Dunmore Town.
