Lynch Plantation Museum

One of two museums on the island, the Lynch Plantation Museum, also known as the Berkel’ s Domestic Museum consists of two, single room buildings, reminiscent of the island’ s housing of a century ago. The buildings contain a remarkable collection of items from the same period including original furnishings, eyeglasses, various pictures, fishing and farming equipment. Private tours can be arranged but as it is located on the northeast side of the island, a taxi will be needed.

Smoke Alley Beach( Oranje Beach)

Oranje Beach is more commonly known as Smoke Alley Beach due to the sand varying in colour from light beige to black. As this beach is located on the island’ s Caribbean side it is good for swimming and snorkeling and so is also home to the island’ s dive shops. Although popular, there are no amenities at this beach and so you must take your own food and drink.
