so open and I wondered how my design would
be received. Nonetheless, I did the sketch and
my write-up on the piece. It really was not
what people were used to, but I wanted to do
something different. I remember feeling like I
was baring my mind and bringing people into
my world. I was somewhat afraid, not knowing
how my design would be received. My design
was one of those selected for the competition.
At the runway show, my design was very well
received and I won the competition! That’s
when I knew for sure I had it in me.
About her role models
I can’t really say that I have had a fashion
‘role model’. I have been interested in couture
designs from the time my interest in fashion
began to blossom. Back then, I did not know it
was couture.
