Victoria Falls This very impressive and photogenic waterfall is located in Morne Trois Pitons National Park and it is where the mineral rich, milky-white White River tumbles off a cliff into a warm pool. Although getting to the falls involves a 40 minute hike that includes river crossings and scrambling over boulders, the spectacular falls and the river are well worth the effort and you can always relax in the pools warm waters when you arrive. © Discover Dominica Authority Roseau Pronounced “roze-o” Dominica’s capital Roseau is a jumble of modern buildings, market stalls and West Indian cottages with a distinctive Rastafarian vibe. The waterfront has a dock for cruise ships and a promenade whilst elsewhere there are the Botanic Gardens, museum and the Gothic-Romanesque-style St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral. A short drive to Morne Bruce will afford panoramic views of the city. Photo Credit: Roger W. The Carib Territory The Kalinago people are the Caribbean’s largest remaining tribe of Carib Indians who live on a reserve on Dominica’s northeast coast. These Caribs live off fishing, agriculture and handmade crafts which you can see being made as you walk through the traditional wooden buildings that make up the village which is nestled between fields of breadfruit and bananas.
