Guardalavaca
Although more remote and quieter than
Cuba’s more popular Varadero, Guardalavaca
offer visitors glittering beaches fringed
with lush foliage providing mush-needed
shade. The nearby coral reefs offer divers
and snorkelers the opportunity for
exploration whilst others may opt for a day
trip to experience a jungle adventure or an
encounter of a different kind at the popular
Dolphinarium at Cayo Naranjo.

Playa Paraíso, Cayo Largo
del Sur
Although all of Cuba is known for its beautiful
beaches, perhaps Playa Paraíso (Paradise Beach),
on the island of Cayo Largo del Sur is the best of
all. It has few attractions apart from its beaches
but the powdery white sand and sheltered blue
sea of this and the neighbouring Playa Sirena are
a sun seekers’ dream. There are many hotels and
resorts to cater to every sun bathers’ needs.
Parque Nacional Vinales
(Valle de Vinales)
The beautiful Parque Nacional Vinales is
a UNESCO World Heritage Site located
north of Pinar del Rio. Here mogotes
(steep limestone hills) slice through the
valleys making a very scenic and dramatic
landscape. Fruits, vegetables and tobacco
are grown in the valleys and this is a great
place for hiking or horseback riding in the
hills. Vinales is the nearby town which makes
a charming base for your chosen activities.
