The Old Valley
The Valley is the Capital of Anguilla but as
the administration of the island was moved
to St. Kitts in 1825, you won’t find many
examples of colonial architecture however,
on the road to Crocus Hill, known to the
locals as Old Valley, there are Ebenezer’s
Methodist Church, Miss Marjorie’s House
and the Warden’s Place, Rose Cottage and
other reminders of Anguilla’s past days.

Crocus Bay
This pristine beach of white powdery
sand has Anguilla’s highest point, Crocus
Hill as a backdrop. Although for many
years the scenic coral cliffs and azure
waters of Crocus Bay were rarely seen by
tourists, the recently established DaVida’s
Bayside Grill and its sister restaurant and
Spa, DaVida’s which offers an elegant
dining experience, have placed it on the
tourism map.

Shoal Bay
With a sandy beach stretching for nearly two
miles, Shoal Bay is often mentioned in ten
best beaches in the world listings. With the
nearby reef stretching almost the full length
of the beach, the electric turquoise waters
offer ideal snorkeling opportunities. Not only
is this beach enjoyed by islanders and tourists
alike, it is also popular with the residents of
the neighbouring island of St. Martin.
