JULY 1 All Eleuthera Regatta Domestic and international visitors converge on Eleuthera for competition among Class A, B, and C Class sailing sloops, cultural shows, live band performances, food and drinks.

Junkanoo Summer Festival
Costumed dancers, drum beats, a street festival, every Saturday during the month of July and August. This festival sees groups of Junkanoos parading through the streets in a colourful parade which dates back to the days of slavery. Click here for more information.

JULY 14-15

Fishermen’ s Fest On Eleuthera and Harbour Island, enjoy two days of fun fishing tournaments, delicious food and drinks, live entertainment, games, vendors selling locally made shell jewelry and a fireworks display to end the event. August 11- 12 Lobster Fest & Lion Fish Derby

On The Berry Islands, this is a celebration of the opening of the national Lobster Season which includes a hunt for the invasive Lion Fish. On day one, prizes will be awarded for the largest lobster and most lion fish caught. Enjoy a variety of lobster entrees, a lobster culinary competition, music and games

SEPTEMBER 9

McLean’ s Town Conch Cracking Festival Held at the east end of Grand Bahama Island, this festival features dishes with a conch theme. There’ s other local food, drinks, local souvenirs, live entertainment and a full day of fun for the entire family. It has been annnual event since 1972, attracting both local and international visitors. There is also a competition for a Conch Trophy which is awarded to the best Conch Cracker in the country.
