In March Aruba has the Aruban Culture Music
“Himno “which has Afro-Caribbean influences as
well as European “Waltz” music all in one.
March- September we slowly slide into beach
festival time, which brings out the Jazzy and
soul artists who then can showcase their songs.
In addition to the Soul Beach Festival and Jazz
Festival, in between there are techno/ house
music concerts.
In short, we are a melting pot that, since1499
when Aruba was discovered, has made us what we
are, “One Happy Island” with many styles of music.
About where she performs
With Kawura Roots Band, we perform at activities
such as High Winds Aruba, Beach Volley Ball
Tournament, One Love Concert and twice a year,
we organize a free concert so local Reggae bands
can showcase their music. Take a peek at Kawura
Aruba’s Facebook page to see what is on our
schedule so when anyone visits Aruba, they can
come look us up.
But don’t forget, whenever you are in Aruba there
is always music playing somewhere as we have
many hotels, bars and cultural festivals such as
Bon BIni Festival where a large variety of music is
played by local as well as international artists.
