Michelle’ s art is pivoted around colour. As well as painting, she’ s also passionate about design. Her paintings are often redesigned into repeat patterns, which can be then printed onto virtually anything. Over the years she has found pieces of wonderful antique furniture, which she has reupholstered with printed designs derived from her paintings.
Beautiful old chairs can be recovered with Michelle’ s colourful fabrics. She will send a small sample before order is placed.
Different colourways of each of her designs can also be produced. Clients sometimes request that she produce new colourways to suit their own interior.
She is often asked to plan the interior design of a room around one of her paintings and printed fabric, and also to help choose the right colour theme to be painted on walls.
Her printed fabrics are often commissioned to be made into drapes.
Recently her designs have been applied to fashion items such as shirts, ties, bowties, scarves and jewellery.
