PLACES OF INTEREST
Historic St.
George
As one of the first towns to be
established by the English in
North America, its residents
cling tightly to their roots.
This can be clearly seen when,
in the peak season, period
actors roam the winding
streets complete with town
criers and those sentenced to
the stocks. The Old Rectory
and Town Hall are the same as
the ones used by the settlers
hundreds of years ago. The
town of St. George, since
2000, has been listed as a
UNESCO World Heritage Site.
