Her style, she says was influenced by
American POP-Art artists like Andy
Warhol, Rauschenberg and Rothko.
She really loved watching their art.
When she was 16 years old, she
visited one of their POP exhibits in
Europe and knew immediately that
she wanted to be an artist herself. For
her, it was crystal clear at that point.
Her father was also a big influence in
her artistic life. According to Elisa,
her father always loved painting but
his parents would not let him go to
art school, because at that time art
was not considered a career - they
told him that he could never support
a family with art. But now, Elisa is
living her dream.
Fashion design, textile design, 3D
design, artwork, interior design and
bookmaking are Elisa’s specialties
although in art school she specialized
in fashion. After graduating with a
Masters Degree in Textile design, she
decided to start painting. Her love
of textiles led her to teach hersself
screen printing. Now most of her
artwork consists of silkscreen prints.
