South Eastern and Central Bahamas South Eastern and Central Bahamas Inagua With over 140 species of native and migratory birds, this island is a haven for birdwatchers. Consisting of two islands, Great Inagua and Little Inagua, three national parks and pretty flamingos, nature lovers will enjoy a visit to these two islands which are the southernmost of the Bahamian islands. Mayaguana A small island with a population of about 300 people, visitors come to Mayaguana for a very quiet vacation, where tranquility is the objective. Like most of the other islands, there are caves to explore, fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving, but this island’s attraction is the relative calm that it offers, amidst an untouched, picturesque landscape. Bahamasair flies regularly from Nassau to Abraham’s Bay, one of the three villages on the island. The other two villages are Pirate’s Well, and Betsy Bay.
