North West Bahamas North West Bahamas Nassau Nassau is the capital of The Bahamas, on the island of New Providence. Clifton Heritage National Park will take you on a history lesson, but that’s not all it offers. Hiking, swimming, snorkeling, bird watching, fishing and camping too are all possible here. Downtown Nassau Paradise Island Paradise Island is undoubtedly the epitome of Caribbean luxury with the impressive Atlantis Paradise Island Resort being one of the luxurious accommodations on this 685 acre island. Located to the north of Nassau, visitors will find beautiful beaches here, each offering a different experience. There are also opportunities to do some exploring, and a visit to Cloisters, the ruins of a French monastery, or a quick peek into the caves at Cable Beach which pirates once used to hideout, are exciting things to do if you feel the need to escape from the luxurious resort lifestyle, albeit only for a short while.
