New Beach Pyroclastic flows from the island’s volcanic activity resulted in the formation of new land in certain places on the island. One such place is “New Beach” which is found at the Bottomless Ghaut. You will be intrigued by its black sand, indicative of the volcanic activity by which it was created. Getting to this beach might be a bit of a challenge to some, as you have to maneuver your way through rocks to get there, but when you do, you will be rewarded by a truly appreciative sight of black sand shimmering in the Caribbean sunlight. And, if you are here at the end of the day, a pleasant sunset view awaits. Photo Credit: Montserrat Tourism Board Photo Credit: Montserrat Tourism Board
