in the Bahamas
The islands of the Bahamas offer a wealth of locations
for those whose dream is to get married in a place where
turquoise waters and sandy beaches form the backdrop
of life-changing moments. With 700 islands, many choices
abound. Visitors who have been on the island for at least
24 hours can obtain a marriage licence within two business
days. If you are a cruise ship passenger in Bahamian waters
for 24 hours, armed with a letter from the ship’s captain to
confirm that this is true, you will be able to wed.
The license can be purchased from the office of the
Registrar General in Nassau for $120,
Monday to Friday,
9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
