Choco Museo, Punta Cana
Whilst in the Dominican Republic, a ‘must do’ for all chocolate lovers is a visit to the Chocolate Museum
in Punta Cana. Not only does a visit allow guests to view the museum with its all-about-chocolate
exhibits, it also includes a tour showing how cocoa beans become chocolate. An additional attraction
is the opportunity to take a quick course in chocolate making.
Cueva de las Maravillas

Expertly lit, a wealth of pictographs adorn the walls of the Cueva de las Maravillas beside stalactites
and stalagmites. Although the cave system is enormous, only the first 240 meters are accessible due to
the remainder being an important bat habitat. Thought to be over 100,000 years old, the artwork on
the walls originated from the ancient native Taino Indians who once dwelled within the cave system.
