From its beaches , to its hills , sunsets and views - it ’ s all breath-taking . It ’ s perfect for families - after all , the kids can have an entire beach all to themselves , but , it will also please those who love to snorkel - there ’ s marine life aplenty . Or , you may prefer to go kayaking , swimming or paddleboarding .
Amidst all the beauty within this unspoiled gem , there are accommodations , if you need it , restaurants , and the friendliest locals you can find anywhere . But that ’ s not all . Rent a bike and explore . Walk up the hill to the top of Mount Alvernia , the highest peak in the Bahamas , which stands at 206 feet . We , who know , do admit there is enough to do on Cat Island to keep you ocupied , but if you wish to do nothing , that ’ s also an option .
