THE GRAVE OF GANG GANG SARA,
GOLDEN LANE
According to local legends, Gang Gang Sara was
a witch who attempted to fly back to Africa but
she had eaten salt and therefore could no longer
fly, so dropped to her death from a silk cotton
tree. It is said she was buried among other slaves
near the tiny hamlet of Golden Lane which has
become a somewhat macabre attraction for
tourists.
