such as the islands Troupes and Parade Day are ones
that are attended in masses. Here you’d see our
friendly people “Bussing Ah Lime” and just having a
good time! Everyone is always invited and no one is
left out.
It was always one of my childhood dreams to
be a part of Culturama, in fact my sister and I
on numerous events, crafted mock pageants,
competing against each other and judged by our
mother in our home in Butlers. My sister took the
opportunity first and entered the Miss Culture
Queen pageant in the year 2012 attaining second
runner up. Four years later I continued tradition and
entered, attaining victory for my whole household
and village. This was all made possible by my
chaperone and her team, Janet Johnson, lead
chaperon of Crowns and Tiaras Pageant Coaching
and Consulting. It was a dream come true right
before my eyes. Through dedication and consistency,
I was crowned Miss Culture Queen 2016-2017.
Pageantry was not entirely new to me before Miss
Culture Queen 2016, in fact I entered pageants
previously and in the same year was also crowned
Miss Rex Nettleford Hall 2016 at the University of
the West Indies. After being crowned Miss Culture
Nevis, I entered the Miss UWI Mona Pageant in 2017
representing my hall as Miss Rex Nettleford Hall 2016
and as Miss Nevis in the Miss Jaycees Caribbean
International Pageant 2017 in Antigua and the Miss
Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant 2017 in Nevis. I
was also granted the opportunity to judge pageants
held at my university for the first semester of 2017.
About her other interests
As one may now realize, I love getting involved
once youth representation or island advocacy is
mentioned. I am now focused on attaining my
degree which will be in the year 2019. I intend to
go back home and serve in the field as a Healthcare
Professional. In my recreational time I love reading,
modelling, dramatizing, and debating.
