Crystal Cave
Located in the Blue Hole National Park , a
50 minute walk into the jungle will bring
you to the Crystal Cave. Skeletal remains,
pottery, carvings in the walls, stalactites and
stalagmites mark the trek into this Mayan
world. Some may find the exploration of this
cave to be physically demanding, as you will
have to climb down into the mouth of the
cave, climb over rocks and slide in mud, but it
is an incredible adventure.
Glover’s Reef Marine
Reserve
A spectacular myriad of marine life await the
diver and snorkeler in this coral reef system,
the largest in the Western hemisphere. Glover’s
Reef is the southernmost of Belize’s atolls with
over 800 coral patch reefs in this World Heritage
Site which is a nursery and feeding ground for
turtles. In addition to turtles, you’ll also see nurse
sharks, lobsters, moray eels, groupers, eagle rays,
conch, flounder and manta rays, to name a few.
Certainly an amazing experience for divers and
snorkelers.
