MY ANTIGUAN VACATION

Submitted by Daniel
My trip to Antuiga was back in August 2016 , but I still remember the details quite vividly . My fiancé and I decided to travel to this beautiful island for a romantic vacation and for a while , escape the hustle of the busy New York lifestyle . Before the visit , I had very little knowledge about Antigua but we both needed the vacation and the Caribbean sounded inviting , so Antigua it was ! We ’ re both so gald we went because this has been our best vacation experience to date , and without a doubt , I highly recommend that everyone should visit this island at least once in their lifetime .
We stayed at the Blue Waters Resort and Spa .
Antigua is located in the Caribbean sea . The island boasts of its beautiful shoreline and magnificent beaches and it is no idle boast - I was blown away by its natural beauty . With its warm climate , one can bask in the sun for the entire day while the cool breeze whispers over your body , temporarily transporting you to heaven .
Kite Surfing
I have always dreamed of kitesurfing . This was one of the first things I requested of my tour guide . I was given few basic lessons and in less than 30 minutes , I was in the water trying it out . It really is a thrilling , exciting experience . Not for the faint of heart , though , but for those who relish the adrenaline rush . Great experience !
Scuba Diving
My fiancé and I talked a lot about doing this together and being in Antigua gave us the best opportunity to attempt it . The marine life was simply breath-taking and every minute we spent underwater gave us a greater appreciation of the beauty that exists in the universe . We also got a chance to see the Andes wreck , a ship that sunk on the shores of Antigua . Definitely a must-do for visitors who don ’ t have a fear of water .
