Roxborough
Located in the parish of Manchester , this is the birthplace of the Right Excellent Norman Washington Manley , a National Hero of Jamaica . He was one of Jamaica ’ s leading lawyers in the 1920s and an advocate of universal suffrage , which the British colonial government granted to Jamaica in 1944 .
Devon House
Built in 1881 by Jamaica ’ s first black millionaire George Stiebel , this house is a beautifully restored mansion now housing a museum , restaurants and shops . It is a major Jamaican landmark and a National Heritage Site .
