To Experience the authentic Bermuda, Brittany says,...
Bermuda is the home of the 2017 America’ s Cup. All I can say is, book your ticket and hotel NOW:-) In my opinion the best time of year to visit Bermuda is between May and September. A time I like to call“ Boat Party Months.”
My favourite holiday is held on May 24th, Bermuda Day. A day for family, dancing and a parade, all happening in the City of Hamilton.
I love day parties held on the terrace of Inferno Lounge 2. Waterside, overlooking Dockyard with a chance of watching the sunset as night falls. Just beautiful. Make sure you catch a ferry or the bus to Dockyard and the Town of St. George’ s to see all they have to offer.
Fish sandwiches from Art Mel’ s Spicy Dicey are 5 star delicious, so be sure to have your cab driver place your order and pop by to pick up, then head to a park to dig in. Preferably Victoria Park which is in the heart of Hamilton where you can take a walk to do a bit of shopping.
Make sure you get a chance to try some Bermuda Rum Swizzle. The best swizzle I’ ve tasted was made by Shannon Simons, a local chef who has created a business of selling rum swizzle. I would recommend buying a few bottles to have in your hotel room.
If you’ re visiting between June 16th-19th I suggest you take part in the Bermuda Carnival which takes place during Bermuda Heroes Weekend. A weekend full of events you don’ t want to miss.
There’ s the Cupmatch Holiday on August 3rd and 4th 2017 celebrating Emancipation in Bermuda with cricket, parties and events all happening at the east end of the island. Expect a full day at the game, the beach or on the water. To a visitor I say go to the beach another day and be sure to attend Cupmatch on both days, you’ ll love it.
Bermuda is filled with greetings. A good morning here, a good afternoon there. You’ ll feel right at home during your visit.
