Acklins & Crooked Island These two remote Bahamian islands are both unspoiled, and offers visitors privacy in pristine settings. Bone fishing, diving and snorkeling are some of the things to do here and being sparsely populated, you will feel like this is your very own little private island. There are ruins on both islands to explore, one of which is an old post office on Crooked Island, said to be the first in the Bahamas. On Acklins you’ll also find bays, caves and a lighthouse which adds to the islands’ intrigue. Enclosed in the shallow Bight of Acklins lagoon, these two islands are not “touristy”, but for the visitors who just want to get away from it all, this is the perfect location. © Bahamas Tourism Ministry
