Summer comes with the rainy season in that region, but that time of year is also fi lled with summer festivals on the islands, and rain has never been a deterrent. Colour, masquerades, parties, food, music and lots of fun is the expectation, with good vibes lingering even after the festivities are all done. And, you too can be a participator during carnival, as many troupes such as Island Gems Carnival Troupe on St. Eustatius encourage visitors to be a part of their experience. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of the islands and have a lot of fun in the process. Adorn your wall with Whimsical Clocks to make you smile We encourage you to get out of your hotel: • • • • • • visit the art galleries visit the local market purchase local fruit from the market eat at a road-side BBQ stand stop off at a village rum shop, grab a beer and chat with the locals attend community cultural events the list goes on . . . . Sun, sea and sand are all part of a Caribbean vacation experience, but you can have that and so much more on the island of your choice. Don’t let these incredible experiences elude you. Your hotel or the island tourism board will be thrilled to provide you with information about all things local - so, go for it!
