As you walk towards the Grand Anse Vendors
Market on the renowned Grand Anse Beach
at the south of the island, blazing colour and
fragrant scents will greet you. The colourful
clothing and accessories lining the small
booths in this market blends in beautifully
with the aromatic flavours to give you a
true sense of what it means to be in the Isle
of Spice. From here, you can take a piece
of paradise with you. Local craft, clothing,
jewellery, local snacks and even produce
are on sale. Spices too, be it in the form of a
necklace or in a basket of spice goodness.
This market, although modest in size is filled
with culture, and the craft on sale shows
the creativity of the locals who live on
this island. Many of these craft items were
derived from natural sources found on the
island, collected from various sources then
transformed into various works of art.
Open daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, a trip to
this market is easy to arrange, after all, going
to Grand Anse Beach at some point during
your vacation is expected, because a visit to
Grenada is synonymous with a visit to the
world-famous Grand Anse Beach! The market
lies at the northern end of the beach.
The vendors here are pleasant, welcoming
and won’t pressure you to buy anything so
be sure to jog or stroll along to the vendors
market on your next visit to Grand Anse
Beach.
