Coopers Castle
A magnificent structure in Freeport, Cooper’s Castle is a representation of one
man’s humble beginnings transformed into king-like status, complete with his
own castle. Harvard Cooper, considered to be the most successful businessman in
Grand Bahama, is the owner of this castle. It sits atop a hill on 46 sprawling acres,
representing hard word and determination, which humble beginnings could
not quell. Today, the presence of KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Pollo Tropical, LMR
Drugs and Halt Industries, among others in The Bahamas, are all attributable to Mr.
Cooper’s decision to not let poverty hinder his grand aspirations.
