Chutney Soca
East Indians came to Trinidad as indentured servants after
emancipation. They brought their religion and culture with them.
Today, Chutney, the music of the East-Indians has been fused with
Soca which is synonymous with Trinidad’s African culture, and
together a new genre, Chutney-Soca was created. It represents an
infectious marriage of the two cultures,through music.
