Zeelandia Beach
Sea turtle nesting season runs from March to November and this beach is where
you will find the turtles - hawksbill turtle, green turtle and leatherback. This is a
protected area, located on the island’s east coast. Visitors come out here to enjoy
the sight of sea birds resting on the craggy cliffs and to stroll along the shore.
Because of strong currents, swimmnig is not recommended, but you can join the
Marine Park’s staff as they patrol the beach at night to monitor the nesting turtles.
