tacey was born and raised on
Saba - her family goes back many
generations and owns E & H Home
Center, a hardware store on the
island. She often worked there throughout her
life and now as the manager and owner, she tries
to balance work in the store with her career as an
artist.
Growing up on a small island had its challenges
but the trees and cliffs were Stacey’s playground
and she loved nothing better than having this
freedom. After graduating from the Saba
Comprehensive School she left the island and
attended the University of South Florida where
she obtained a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing. She
then attended Florida International University
where she received a Masters degree in Art
Education.
