A huge showcase of Bonaire’s history and culture, this
annual event has been celebrated in the town of Rincon
for the past 50 years. On April 30th each year, co-inciding
with the end of the harvest (Simidan), the festivities begin
in the early hours of the morning and continue into
the early hours of the next day. This is a true Bonarian
cultural experience which sees parades, local music, live
performances and local food. Visitors are encouraged to be
there to share in this authentic island experience, deeply
rooted in traditions that have continued over the years.
