2018 Festival Del Mar Anguilla
This event celebrates everything related to the sea.
It takes place in the beautiful fishing village of Island
Harbour, featuring a deep sea fishing competition,
swimming races, crab races and a culinary
competition. Live string band music are all part of
the activities for this two-day event.
APRIL 2
Easter Monday Boat Race
A-Class boat race starting from Sandy Ground to
Sandy Hill and back to Sandy Ground.
MAY 17 - 20
Anguilla Lit Fest
A celebration of Anguilla’s literary heritage with
seminars, workshops and inspiring presentations. All
are welcome.
MAY 21
Welches Fest
On Whit Monday every year, Welches village takes
a step back in time, revisiting the games, food and
drink of yester-year. This is a great opportunity to
experience a true celebration of the island’s heritage
and culture.
MAY 30
Anguilla Day & Round the Island
Boat Race
This day celebrates the dis-association of Anguilla
from the union of St. Kitts and Nevis. On May 30,
1980, Anguilla became a separate British colony, and
then later became a British Overseas Territory. One of
the main events on that day is an intense eight-hour
long boat race.
