PLACES OF INTEREST Nevis may be smaller than its neighbor St. Kitts but that does not mean it is short on history as it is the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton, one of the United States Founding Fathers and also the location where Britain’s most famous sea captain, Horatio Nelson was married. You can tour the island by taxi or stroll to many places of interest in the island’s capital Charlestown. The Museum of Nevis History The building where Alexander Hamilton, whose face appears on the US $ 10 bill, was born, is now home to the Museum of Nevis History which, as well as showing life on the island as Hamilton would have known it, it also has memorabilia from the wedding of Admiral Lord Nelson. The museum also has exhibits from the island’s pre-colonial history Photo Credit: Nevis Tourism Authority The Cool of the Tree
