Tell us a bit about your background
I had a very active childhood and was always
involved in the performing arts. As I got older I
indulged in pageants and went on the represent
Grenada at various Caribbean shows. Thereafter
I would start my own modeling agency,
produce fashion events and get more involved
in television productions as a presenter. I was
always thinking of new things, new projects and
eventually pitched an idea for a TV show with one
of the main networks in Grenada. After chats the
network proposed and I accepted to host what
would become one of the longest lasting talk
shows on local television.
When was Chit Chat born and what
motivated you to produce a TV
Show?
It was 2007, a product of Flow ( then Grenada
CableVision). As years passed I began exploring
many different content ideas which would put
me in the position of producing. I explored
various topics, from entertainment, to wellness
to interviewing personalities of various walks of
life. I wanted to empower and entertain viewers.
I wanted to feature someone’s neighbour, friend
or family who had a story to tell. I wanted to
show a side to an individual which viewers were
not exposed to. As the years passed I began
connecting with personalities from all over the
world who either loved our beautiful island,
or those who had Grenadian roots. It was truly
exciting!
Tell us about the nature of the show
- what topics does Chit Chat typically
cover?
I developed a tag for the show, “Everything
Grenadian and more” which speaks volumes
when it come to the topics we cover and the
people I feature. I am really passionate about
letting the world know who we are through
many facets, from entertainment, our people and
information. It’s really a little bit of everything.
