Freshwater Lake
Located 2,500 feet above sea level, this is
the largest of Dominica’s four lakes. You
can walk the trails around the lake - the
view is spectacular. It may be best to take
a guide with you on this trek.

Papillote Tropical
Gardens
Amidst the seemingly tangled growth
is a magnificent garden initially
created by Anne Jno Baptiste, in 1967.
The 10-acre garden consists of trails,
hot mineral streams, mosses, ferns,
orchids and other plants all carefully
labelled. Tour guides are available to
aid the experience.

Located in Cabrits National Park, Fort
Shirley was built in the 18th century.
Recently restored to its former glory, it

Bay and a lot of historical information
about the island.
