Under 55 feet of water
near Sunset House on
Grand Cayman, you’ll
find a 600 pound bronze
mermaid statue standing
9 feet tall. This is the work
of Canadian artist Simon
Morris. Amphitrite, as she
is called, was placed there
in 2000. Today, divers love
to dive there for the great
photo opp she provides.
