Jacmel
Located in the south, Jacmel is
undoubtedly the arts and craft
capital of Haiti. The fourth-largest
city in the country, it was tentatively
accepted as a UNESCO World
Heritage Site and is well known for
its vibrant cultural scene. It hosts the
best carnival festival in all of Haiti
and its architecture, although faded
still gives one a glimpse of what was
once a beautiful, regal city. While
there, take a leisurely stroll down the
promenade and enjoy a tasty Creole
meal.

Pic la Selle
Close to the border with the Dominican
Republic, the Pic la Selle towers majestically
at 2,680 meters above sea level - the highest
peak in Haiti. Hiking up the mountain is a
day-long excursion. Leaving from Jacmel,
head east towards the mountains. Allocate
about 4 hours to climb up the hill from Mare
Rouge and another 4 hours to hike back.

which encloses a 260-acre private beach resort,
leased by Royal Caribbean Cruises from the
Haitian Government. Here, Royal Caribbean’s
guests can indulge in a variety of water sports,
zipline, shop from a select group of local
vendors or just relax within the secured area of
