PLACES OF INTEREST
Levera
National Park
Located at the northern
tip of the island, this
450-acre park is a coastal
eco-system with a 23-acre
lagoon, mangrove swamps,
exotic bird species and
nesting turtles. It is also
home to Bathway Beach,
a favourite hang-out for
locals on weekends and
public holidays. From the
park you can see the small
uninhabited Sandy Island,
Green Island and the private
Sugar Loaf Island. You
can walk the trail around
the lagoon, swim in the
safe, cordoned off area on
Bathway Beach, snorkel and
end your day with a picnic.
With so few people here
during the week, you may
just have the beach all to
yourself.
