I was then given a piano when a family friend passed away and song writing came really naturally to me . I wrote my first song when I was thirteen . For some reason it ’ s just always been the dream for me to make it my career , I knew that from a very early age .
There have been some definite ups and downs , like every career . But I have really exceeded all my childhood expectations . I have had my songs used in TV , I have performed live on radio and TV and got to tour lots of parts of the world . I feel extremely fortunate .
Are there any new projects you are working on ? What can we expect to see from you in 2024 ?
I am touring Australia lots in
2024 and running song writing workshops for artists with disability . This feels very purposeful and meaningful for me . I have a new children ’ s book coming out in 2025 and right now , I am writing new music for another record .
What advice would you give to other aspiring musicians living with disabilities ?
Keep going . Don ’ t take no for an answer . Believe in yourself . Don ’ t be afraid to share your story and who you are . Difference is what makes the world beautiful . In fact I feel it makes us stronger artists .
