PABLO ATCHUGARRY’S
EXHIBITION AT THE
FORI IMPERIALI MUSEUM
We are main sponsor for the
exhibition of Uruguayan master
Pablo Atchugarry
“Città eterna, eterni marmi”
(eternal city, eternal marbles)
The exhibition “Pablo Atchugarry. Città Eterna,
eterni marmi” has been patronized by the
Assessorato alla Cultura e al Turismo di Roma and
by IILA, with the contribution of Gruppo Euromobil.
The exhibition comprises 40 artworks, of which 10
are monumental, that will be displayed open air
from 22nd May 2015 to 7th February 2016 at the Fori
Imperiali Museum – Mercati di Traiano in Rome.
The exhibition shows a renewed magical relationship
to statuary thanks to Atchugarry’s ability to shape
Carrara marble, the same marble that was used
over 2000 years ago for the first sculptures and
that was essential for the unique masterpieces of
Classicism and Renaissance. “Città Eterna, eterni
marmi” recalls the use of Carrara marble in history,
from Cesarean Rome, through Michelangelo’s
Renaissance and Bernini’s Baroque, to the present
day.
