Désirée products by Japanese designers Setsu & Shinobu Ito
were on show at the Venice Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel from
1 to 9 October. Désirée divani was one of the stars of the
seventh edition of Venice Design Week, an international event
for a qualified public which also appeals to those who have a
passion for design. Here they could discover a hidden Venice,
where tradition and innovation meet to allow designers from
all over the world to express their art and exhibit their creations
in various locations throughout the city.
These venues for the Venice Design Week included the
splendid Venice Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel on the island
of Giudecca. The lobby of this fabulous building, a unique
architectural symbol, was furnished with Désirée products by
designers Setsu & Shinobu Ito.
Protagonist of this temporary showroom was the entire Dabliu
line, with a set of occasional tables and hall stands that create
real architecture for interiors: rotating the structure, a clever
combination of metal rod and wooden tops, gives a different
effect that changes according to the position from which it is
observed.
The new Yori occasional table was also on show, inspired
by the delicate bonsai of Japanese tradition. Made of matt
bronze metal rod, it has two irregularly shaped tops oriented
in different directions: a true work of art.
Easy chairs were also on display: the sinuous lines and elegant
design of the Le Midì model; a refined product also featuring a
two-colour fabric version and a fabric and leather one.
Then there was the Wing easy chair with its airy shape and
large, enveloping backrest reminiscent of wings.
