As soon as the rooster managed to escape he ran
away as fast as his legs could carry him. He found a
two penny purse and was heading home when a
boyar (=rich man) saw him and took the purse.
But the rooster followed him and was thrown into
a well. He drank all the water in there and escaped.
Once he got to the boyar’s home the cook threw
him in the oven where he spilt all the water and
again escaped.
