rom its humble beginnings as Sunway College
30 years ago, Sunway University is today a
popular household name in Malaysia as a
private higher education institution and provider
of internationally recognised undergraduate and
post-graduate programmes. One of 16 institutions under
the Sunway Education Group, owned and governed by
the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation (JCF), the University is
renowned for its holistic approach in providing
well-rounded higher education.

programmes of study, Sunway University caters to the

in the modern and well-planned township of Sunway City,
the Sunway University campus is fully equipped with

festivals. Its geography is as diverse as its culture.
Malaysia is made up of 11 states and 2 federal
territories (Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya) in
Peninsular Malaysia which is separated by the
South China Sea from East Malaysia which includes
the 2 states (Sabah and Sarawak on the island of
Borneo) and a third federal territory, the island of
Labuan. Though the official language is Bahasa
Malaysia, English is widely spoken.
