Learn, Grow,

Eat & Go!

Research shows that brief activity breaks can help improve academics and on-task behavior. Through the Better Living for Texans nutrition education program, 10 area schools and 511 students were identified to participate in Learn, Grow, Eat & Go! (LGEG). Students are learning to build classroom- friendly gardens, prepare recipes with vegetables grown in their gardens, and strengthening their brains and bodies through physical activity. The schools (see map) include Columbia Heights, DeZavala, Graebner, Schulze, Harmony, Martin, Glenn, Rayburn, Adams Elementaries and Woodlawn Academy. Tour the garden!
