PHOTO/CITY OF ENGLEWOOD Prevent seasonal flu For the 2019-2020 flu season, the Englewood Health Department partnered with Walgreens to provide free flu shots for those with and without health insurance. The team administered vaccines at Shiloh Church, City Hall, the Englewood Library, the Montessori School, and throughout the Englewood Public School District. The Health Department also held its annual Child Flu Shot Clinic, making it easy for parents to vaccinate their children. On Nov. 23, the Englewood Health Department and the Englewood Hospital held a joint flu shot clinic to help vaccinate residents in the Korean community. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 7 p.m. Certified Aromatherapist Karen Ravensbergen intends this class to be more than just an aromatherapy class, but specifically focus on “natural seasonal solutions” for health and wellness for the upcoming winter. Film Screening & Discussion: Alice’s Ordinary People Arnold Brown Wednesday, Feb. 12, 7 p.m. Documentary filmmaker, Craig Dudnick, will introduce his film, “Alice’s Ordinary People,” which is about the work of civil rights activist, Alice Tregay, of the Wednesday, Feb. 26, 7 p.m. Author, Historian, and former Assemblyman Arnold Brown will discuss African-American history.
